Brooklyn Mission Trip (high school)

All high school students (9th-12th grade) are invited to join Emmy Mathison, First Pres Student Ministry Director, on a spring break mission trip to Brooklyn, New York!

Students will be serving at Brooklyn Teen Challenge whose mission is to help people find freedom from addiction and other life controlling issues through Christ-centered solutions. Since 1958, Brooklyn Teen Challenge has impacted the streets of Brooklyn and the surrounding New York boroughs. They are part of the largest faith-based network of programs which now has over 35,000 beds available in over 1,400 centers around the world.

Addiction is an outward manifestation of inward issues. In a new and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and developing character qualities, lives are transformed, families restored, and addictions lose their power. Brooklyn Teen Challenge focuses on Biblical Principles and depends on decades of experience to walk people to freedom.

You can expect your student will be challenged outside their comfort zone and grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. Serving alongside Teen Challenge, we will share the gospel, help in their food pantry, listen to other’s testimonies and stories, and be transformed by being the hands and feet of Jesus. The last day of the trip will also be for us to have fun and explore New York!
