As we continue to pick up the pieces from back-to-back hurricanes in Tampa Bay there are also people in Chimney Rock, North Carolina whose town was unrecognizable in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene due to mudslides and flash flooding.
Would you and your family consider joining us for all or part of July 23-27 to partner with Spokes of Hope* to help this community? There is NO COST to you except for the transportation to get there. All room, board and work supplies are provided by Spokes of Hope.*
In Isaiah 58:12 the Lord says “Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your towns. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.”
Let’s be known as God’s rebuilders of Chimney Rock homes, restoring what is broken and renewing what seems beyond repair!
PROJECT: Spokes of Hope* just completed the rebuilding of downtown Chimney Rock. Our work will be focused on individual homes that need rebuilding and repair.
HOUSING: Spokes of Hope* will provide housing at the Esmeralda Inn & Restaurant at 910 Main Street, Chimney Rock, NC 28720 that has been retrofitted with comfortable bunks and accommodations for families and individuals. They have a mix of privacy depending on the needs.
MEALS: Meals will be provided by Spokes of Hope* at the “base camp” at 81 Red Anderson Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
*What is Spokes of Hope?
It is a ministry created to serve the most vulnerable populations during times of disaster and acute crisis. Spokes of Hope serves as a resource hub for ongoing community needs, supplying basic food provisions, essential home items, providing training in skilled trades, and hosting events relevant to improving the quality of life, while bringing hope to the area. Their three key initiatives are RESPOND. RESOURCE. REBUILD. All in the name of Jesus!
