end68

END68 is committed to helping end childhood hunger in the city of Tampa. 25.9% of school aged children are at risk for food insufficiency. END68 seeks to provide food for the 68 hours school is closed over the weekend.

END68 puts nourishing food in the hands of school children to carry them through the weekend. Each bag of food costs $10 each week (with the support of food donations) and provides two breakfasts, two lunches, and three dinners for a child, with some left over to share!

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  •  Providing food items from END68's Amazon Whishlist is a powerful way for children to know they are cherished and loved. Select, pay and have shipped directly to End 68 Hours of Hunger Gift Registry Address.
  • Join the team! Help is needed to collect and shelve non-perishable food items. To volunteer, contact Janice Lackey
  • First Pres' END68 Back to School Food Drive has begun! Stock up on BOGOs and other food sale items and drop off at First Pres until Sunday, Sept. 25th! Choose from this list of acceptable food items:
    Canned Pasta
    Canned Chicken or Tuna
5oz Cans of Fruit or Veggies
    Complete Microwave Meals (13g Protein)
Individually wrapped snacks (granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.)

Please, no glass or outdated food.  Kids carry the food home, so keep that in mind when purchasing.
