MEET OUR PASTORS
With over 40 years of faithful service to the city of Tampa, Revs. Fitz and Kathy Conner passionately lead First Pres Tampa. With their roots in Young Life, their ministry focuses on real relationships and real transformation with others through discipleship, biblical application, and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Earning their degrees together at Fuller Seminary, they continue to be lifelong learners of scripture and avid apprentices of Jesus. In their free time Fitz and Kathy enjoy playing golf, walking their dog, Tally, and spending time with their family.

CURRENT MESSAGE SERIES
We’re more connected than ever, yet genuine relationships can feel harder to find. We text instead of call. We hesitate to introduce ourselves to neighbors. We want deeper friendships, but we’re not always sure where to start—or how to move beyond surface-level conversations.
But we weren’t created to do life alone. Throughout Scripture, we see that meaningful relationships are central to the life God desires for us. Jesus modeled a way of living that was intentional, present, vulnerable, and deeply relational. He noticed people, made time for them, listened to their stories, and invited them into community.
Join us on Sundays in November at 9:00am or 10:45am as we explore what it takes to build Real Relationships in a world that often settles for convenient connections. We’ll discover how small acts of courage, intentional communication, genuine vulnerability, and a willingness to listen can transform our friendships, families, neighborhoods, and faith.
Because real relationships don't just happen. We have to make room for them.
We stream our 9:00am worship service. You can join online by clicking the "Join Live" button on Sundays!

FIRST PRES FALL SERVICE PROJECT
This fall we will be going to the Beth-el Farmworkers Ministry in Wimauma, FL on Sunday, Nov. 22nd.
Just 40 miles outside of Tampa, migrant farmworkers labor day after day to fill our tables and fill our bellies. You and I have the opportunity to serve them as the hands and feet of Jesus by doing a family friendly project and bringing items they desperately need.
Let's fill their pantry and fill their hearts with encouragement. AND...we will have the unique privilege of worshiping in Spanish/English to launch our project!
More project details to follow. If you are interested in participating, please contact Kathy Conner.
BETH-EL DONATIONS DRIVE
Help us shower our farm working friends with items they use at work and at home!
Shop the list and bring your donations back to church on Sundays between Oct. 25th - Nov. 15th or call Deena in the office, 813-229-0679 to arrange drop off during the week!

ADVENT BIBLE STUDY
WHAT: Men's and Women’s Advent Bible Study
WHEN: Wednesdays, December 2, 9, 16 (Wednesdays in December)
TIME: We are excited to offer three Advent Bible studies this year.
Jesus said, "I am the light of the world" (John 8:12), and he is the light and life for all. God’s light has been shining since the very beginning, when He spoke all things into existence.
During this season of Advent, we will trace that light through Scripture—from the first glimmers of creation to the guiding presence of God among His people to the star over Bethlehem and beyond. Along the way, we’ll be reminded that we are called to reflect His light even now, as we wait with hope for the day when He comes again to be our light forever.

Any other questions, please contact McLean Murphy.
