serve teams

At First Pres, we believe we aren't Jesus consumers, we are Jesus contributors, investors, stake holders. We are called to be disciples who make disciples. We can do this by loving and serving others. Find a current opportunity to serve below.

  • HOSPITALITY "DREAM TEAM"

Feeling welcomed upon arriving to church on a Sunday morning can set the tone for how a visitor feels about First Pres. We are looking for friendly, warm people who can serve by greeting, ushering people to their set in the sanctuary, or helping people find a place to park. If you're interested in joining the team, contact McLean Murphy .

  • STUDENT MINISTRY

Our middle school (LOOP) and high school students (HUB) meet together in both large group and Life Group settings. Interested in leading and serving this ministry?  Contact our Interim Student Ministry Director, Kathy Conner.

  • MEDIA TEAM

Good with audio visual or technology? We need help running the slideshow and lights during the service, running the camera for our livestream, and facilitating the commentary on the livestream service. All of these systems are super easy to learn!
If you're willing to help contact ADAM LINDO

  • CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Our ministry for kids is called CREW (Children Radically Experiencing Worship). If you enjoy being with children ages birth-5th grade and have a desire to help them know the love of Jesus, we would love your help with CREW.  Contact our director, RACHEL GODIN.

  • MEALS MINISTRY TEAM

Nothing speaks love like a meal! In our desire to care for one another, our church family has a meals ministry team. We take turns bringing a delicious meal to those who have lost a loved one or who have had a baby or any major life event where a meal can speak the love of God. Interested in helping in this way?  Contact JESSICA EHRHART.

  • MATHEW 25 MINISTRY TO THE HUNGRY AND HOMELESS

Matthew 25 is our ministry to those who are hungry and homeless in the Tampa Bay area. We partner with other organizations like Metropolitan Ministries, Showered & Empowered and Tampa Bay Street Medicine, to care for our friends on the street. To learn more about our ministry and how you can help, visit their WEBSITE or contact PEGGY KANTER.

  • HOPE DEPOT CLOTHING CLOSET

Due to our recent church move, our clothing closet, Hope Depot is temporarily not accepting donations right now.  Check back here to find out when we will begin to need help in collecting, and organizing clothes, shoes and toiletries for our homeless friends.
